South Korea’s National Assembly speaker met UK Ambassador Colin Crooks on the 27th to discuss future-industry cooperation and interparliamentary ties. The speaker said he hopes amendments to the Korea‑UK FTA agreed last year will take effect quickly and urged closer collaboration on AI and offshore wind. Crooks said the two sides expect to sign the revised FTA within the next one to two months and hope the ratification bill will be handled swiftly after submission to the National Assembly.
