Boeing reported Q3 revenue $24.19bln and GAAP loss per share $0.26; adjusted
loss per share $0.34 versus analyst expected loss of $0.21. Commercial Airplanes
revenue fell to $10.7bln; operating loss was $697m, with an operating margin of
-6.5%. Management attributed the shortfall to weaker delivery profitability and
rising production costs, including supply-chain inflation. Boeing said it still
cannot lift 737 monthly output from 42 to 47, citing wing production as the
bottleneck. Regulators approved the 737-7 and 737-10 models; Boeing also won the
US Navy F/A-XX contract and posted a second consecutive quarter of positive free
cash flow.
