U.S. durable goods orders strengthened, reversing early losses and pushing
Treasury yields higher ahead of the Fed's policy decision tomorrow. Markets
expect the FOMC to keep rates unchanged and resume tightening in December.
September durable goods orders rose 1.8%, slightly above expectations, led by
transportation equipment. The 10-year Treasury yield climbed intraday to 4.997%
from Monday's 4.987%; the 2-year rose to 4.731% from 4.712%.
