GDP will test growth resilience under restrictive policy; core PCE will show whether recent energy and producer-cost rises are feeding into consumer prices. Nov 6 — October nonfarm payrolls. After only a +29k job gain in September, markets will watch for a rebound; continued weakness would complicate the Fed’s inflation–employment tradeoff. Nov 10 — October CPI. A continued upside surprise in core CPI would strengthen odds of a December rate hike. Nov 13 — October PPI. Producer-price trends will indicate whether input-cost pressures are easing or likely to transmit further to consumer inflation. Nov 18 — Fed October meeting minutes. If the Fed held rates, minutes could reveal why officials chose to wait and their views on inflation risks, the pace of hikes and financial conditions. Dec 4 — November nonfarm payrolls ahead of the December meeting. Dec 8–9 — Fed policy meeting. New economic projections and the dot plot will update officials’ rate path, including their latest views beyond 2027.
