India's state-owned refiner Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Chairman A.S. Sahni said rising electric-vehicle adoption, continued ethanol blending and more cars switching to natural gas should push Indian gasoline demand to a peak by 2035. He said diesel and jet-fuel consumption are likely to keep rising on industrial expansion and aviation growth. Demand for heavy refinery products such as fuel oil and petcoke should also increase; these now account for roughly 30% of IOC's refinery output. Sahni added IOC is assessing small modular reactors and other technologies, with any adoption contingent on commercial viability.
