Mexico's president sheinbaum said talks with the United States on a trade agreement are ongoing and her administration is assessing whether reaching a deal before the U.S. midterm elections is feasible.

On the 29th the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued a risk alert saying it has no financing projects or special investment funds such as a national agricultural reinvestment special support loan or a "three‑dimensional AI shrimp‑farming" special fund. The ministry warned against fraudsters falsely claiming they can submit ministry project applications or secure large special support funds and demanding upfront fees such as handling, inspection, documentation or site‑visit fees.
