MOFCOM data as of Oct 28, 2026: cumulative trade-in–driven sales topped 2 trillion yuan year-to-date and benefited over 257 million transactions. Subsidised trade-ins boosted mobile phone, tablet and other digital device sales 44.8% YoY and helped communications-equipment retail sales rise 18.1% YoY in the first three quarters. New energy vehicles accounted for 60.5% of vehicles using trade-in incentives, keeping NEV passenger-car retail penetration above 60% for six consecutive months.
