Chongqing Development and Reform Commission says Zhang Xue Motorcycles’ project
to build an annual 500,000-unit motorcycle facility in Liangjiang New Area has
received a construction land planning permit and is expected to begin
construction within the year. Strong international performance has driven
demand: overseas orders by April equalled last year’s total, and June output
exceeded 10,000 units, prompting an urgent capacity upgrade. The new project
will invest about 750 mln yuan on ~186.5 mu with ~195,000 sqm of new buildings,
including R&D and test centers and full-vehicle production lines, and is
designed to support product iterations over the next decade and scale annual
capacity to 500,000 motorcycles for export and premium-brand expansion.
