At its 2026 Q3 results briefing, Muyuan Foods said its slaughtering and meat
business generated just over CNY200 million in the first nine months of 2026,
with per-head profit around CNY10. Quarterly profitability has varied with
downstream demand, product mix and costs. The company expects profits to rise
further by raising slaughter volumes within existing capacity and optimizing
product mix to increase the share of cut and small-pack products. It noted the
Chinese slaughter sector still has significant upside in cut and small-pack
penetration versus mature Western peers, an industry upgrade it views as
inevitable.
