Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Rezaei said Iran will not negotiate or reopen the Strait of Hormuz until seven conditions set by Tehran are met.

Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told an interview that Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities have materially improved and are now stronger and more complete. He said missile destructive power and speed have been upgraded, missile performance now exceeds previous levels and penetration of enemy air-defence systems has improved. He warned that if another confrontation occurs, Iran’s response will be stronger, more destructive and more punitive, and the United States and Israel would suffer greater losses.

Iran supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei told senior military commanders to maintain high readiness and apply strong force to achieve maximum deterrence, ordering immediate, effective responses to threats of any level or form that are not constrained by geography. He warned that if enemies mount further military or terrorist attacks, Iran’s armed forces and people will determine the timing and conditions for ending the conflict. He directed expansion of military intelligence, deeper domestic defence development in doctrine and tactics, accelerated adoption of new technologies to modernize defence and security, strengthened morale and logistics support, and an updated target list to ensure US and Israeli adversaries’ tangible and intangible assets are within Iran’s strike range.
