Ryanair CEO said rising jet-fuel costs will sharply constrain capacity and lead to more airline bankruptcies.

China Index Academy data show full-caliber sales for the top-100 developers totaled CNY2.537tn Jan–Oct; October single-month sales were about CNY277.3bn, up from CNY213.3bn in August and CNY242.1bn in September. Liu Shui, head of corporate research at China Index Academy, said 9/29 mortgage interest-subsidy measures and concentrated developer promotions, together with a low year-ago base, boosted buying confidence, though sales performance remains uneven; developers with ≥CNY100bn sales fell to six (down one YoY) and those with ≥CNY10bn fell to 58 from 100 in 2023. Transaction volumes: new-home sales in 50 key cities were ~11.41 mln sqm in October (MoM +4.5%, YoY -12.0%); second-hand transactions in 20 key cities were ~14.61 mln sqm (MoM +3.0%, YoY +20.4%).

OpenAI founder Altman said on Monday energy consumption per AI query is dropping sharply, delivering large efficiency gains, but that efficiency is driving a substantial increase in usage. He said the AI and energy industries have a responsibility to work together to meet the resulting societal energy demand.
