Nov. 2 — China’s foreign ministry said at a regular briefing that the successful visits by German President Steinmeier and Swiss Federal Council President Parmelin signalled strengthened communication, closer open cooperation and support for multilateralism and free trade, setting a positive example for China–EU ties. China said it is willing to work with all parties to focus on cooperation and mutual benefit to provide more certainty for global stability and prosperity.

At end-Q3 2026 securities firms were among the top-10 free‑float shareholders at 228 A‑share companies. Aggregate broker-held market value was 55.98 bln yuan, down 27.49% QoQ; shares held totaled about 4.699 bln, down 13.32% QoQ. Excluding non-bank financials and banks, broker stakes in pharma & biotech, basic chemicals and electronics exceeded 2.0 bln yuan, at 4.76 bln, 2.74 bln and 2.66 bln yuan respectively.
