China has implemented 150 national and industry standards for new energy
storage, establishing an initial full‑chain standards framework covering
basic/general, planning and design, equipment and testing, construction and
acceptance, grid connection and operation, O&M and maintenance, decommissioning
and disposal, and safety and management. The framework is intended to help
accelerate the sector’s shift from a "new track" to the "main track." Chinese
new energy storage projects now account for more than 50% of global installed
capacity.
