Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital and former White House communications director, said he is pessimistic about a post-election diplomatic breakthrough on Iran, saying he sees no consensus among Iran, Israel and the United States for a negotiated settlement. He added that war would be very damaging to business activity and markets and, while he hopes for a negotiated solution, he sees no sign the three parties' positions will converge.

In the first 10 months of this year, four cross-strait 'mini three links' passenger routes — Xiamen–Kinmen, Quanzhou–Kinmen, Mawei–Matsu and Huangqi–Matsu — operated 10,344 sailings and carried over 1.98 million passengers, up 3.0% and 25.2% YoY, respectively. Passengers from Taiwan exceeded 1.56 million, up 34.8% YoY. Both overall passenger traffic and Taiwan passenger flows for the first 10 months have already surpassed full-year 2025 totals, underscoring rising cross-strait travel demand.
