At a Nov. 4 briefing, the National Development and Reform Commission said it
will work with other departments to deepen implementation of measures to lower
overall logistics costs, prioritising logistics network construction and
coordinating major corridors and micro‑circulation, hard infrastructure and soft
connectivity, and domestic and international links; it will push logistics hub
construction, interconnectivity, corridor capacity expansion, upgrade
urban‑rural logistics facilities and strengthen international logistics
networks. Relevant departments will issue targeted policies for circulation of
key commodities; for fresh agricultural products the NDRC said it will
strengthen production‑area market systems and inspection capacity, accelerate
farm‑gate pre‑cooling and origin cold‑chain collection/distribution centres,
build a number of backbone wholesale markets, reduce circulation losses and
speed the modernization of fresh produce distribution.
