Hainan Party Secretary Feng Fei and Governor Liu Xiaoming met Minister of
Science and Technology Yin Hejun in Sanya on Nov. 3. Provincial leaders
requested continued ministry support focused on the seed industry, deep-sea
technologies and commercial space to deepen province-ministry collaborative
innovation, accelerate commercialization of R&D and develop Hainan as a talent
and technology innovation hub. Minister Yin pledged stronger central-local
coordination and full backing for Hainan’s tech innovation agenda, aiming to
raise regional innovation capacity and develop locally suited new productive
forces to support national science and technology goals.
