Shanghai’s secondary home market showed resilience in October. Online contract

of which were pure residential — up 10.9% MoM and 33% YoY, the highest October
tally in nearly six years. Saturday, Oct 31, 2026 saw 1,505 net-signed
contracts, the fourth daily reading above 1,000 that month. Sellers pulled
listings: end‑October resale inventory fell to 281,500 from 290,000 at
end‑September, near a one‑year low. Average listing‑to‑sale turnover in Shanghai
is 78.1 days, a three‑year low.
