Qualcomm (QCOM.O) reported fiscal 2026 Q4 revenue $10.32 bln and adjusted EPS
$2.17, versus market expectations of $10.11 bln and $2.16. It guided
next-quarter revenue $10.4–11.2 bln (market $10.48 bln) and adjusted EPS
$2.15–2.35, with the EPS midpoint below the $2.32 consensus. Qualcomm said a
memory-chip shortage and rising component and manufacturing costs led smartphone
OEMs to cut production; handset chip revenue fell 26% YoY to $5.14 bln and
company revenue declined 8% YoY. CEO Amon said data-center weakness reflects
supply constraints, not demand, and the company expects fiscal 2027 data-center
revenue of $5 bln. Automotive revenue rose 89% YoY to about $2 bln and IoT
revenue rose 4% to about $1.89 bln, both beating estimates. Shares fell more
than 5% in after-hours trading.
