The Supreme People’s Procuratorate has arrested Ma Xingrui, a former member of
the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and ex-deputy head of the Central
Rural Work Leading Group, on suspicion of taking bribes after an inquiry by the
National Supervisory Commission. The Supreme People’s Procuratorate designated
the Yichang People’s Procuratorate in Hubei to review and prosecute; the Yichang
procuratorate has filed a public prosecution with the Yichang Intermediate
People’s Court.
