Guo said Wong's offence is serious, he pleaded guilty, and the central government firmly supports the HKSAR in lawfully safeguarding national security and punishing acts that endanger it. Guo urged relevant parties to respect Chinese sovereignty and Hong Kong's rule of law, stop making irresponsible comments on HKSAR judicial cases, and cease any interference in Hong Kong's judiciary and China's internal affairs.
