Lingyun Optics said reports that Google placed a large OCS order with Polatis
that Lingyun would manufacture are false. The company is Polatis’ agent in China
and Southeast Asia, responsible for market development, sales and after-sales
service and does not undertake production or contract manufacturing. Lingyun
said it is discussing an ‘‘embodied-intelligence data capture + robotic
platform’’ solution with a leading contract manufacturer; related revenue is
currently small, not material to near‑term results, and timelines are uncertain.
OCS has won small-volume orders in domestic optical module and device makers’
automated testing; datacenter-scale OCS deployment depends on network
architecture upgrades and broad domestic adoption will take time.
