Several European passenger flights were diverted on Thursday after receiving
bomb threats. A Wizz Air service from Milan to Warsaw was rerouted to Vienna in
flight, the airline said. The French prime minister’s office said a Dublin–Rome
flight diverted to a military base in Evreux, Normandy, after a threat and is
monitoring the situation. Similar threats earlier this week disrupted multiple
flights; authorities report no clear pattern by carrier or route. Bomb threats
are uncommon and are almost always later found to be false alarms. European
airspace handles more than 30,000 flights daily.
