Airbus delivered about 74 aircraft in October, leaving it roughly 250 deliveries short of its ~870-aircraft 2026 annual target. That gap requires an unprecedented acceleration — more than six deliveries per working day over the remaining two months, a pace Airbus has not previously sustained, said Rob Morris, formerly of Ascend by Cirium. Airbus has ramped H2 output and has posted single-month deliveries above 100, but component shortages and supplier-quality issues prompting extra inspections have forced prior downward revisions to 2024 and 2025 targets. Last month Airbus reiterated it expects to meet the full-year target; CEO Guillaume Faury said supply-chain conditions have improved and Pratt & Whitney is now expected to supply sufficient engines after earlier disputes over delayed deliveries.
