Nov 5, Shanghai — A government meeting to advance upgrades of the Shanghai
international trade center was held. The meeting said Xi has repeatedly
prioritized the center; MOFCOM, other ministries and Shanghai will coordinate
implementation. It noted Shanghai’s trade-hub functions have strengthened and
are increasingly linked with four other national centers, and pledged further
coordinated support to accelerate cultivation of new foreign-trade momentum,
bolster the city’s international trade hub role and enhance its status in
China’s drive to build a trade power.
