On Nov. 5 at the 7th World Media Summit AI and Chinese-style Modernization
forum, state news agency Xinhua and UBTECH unveiled “Xinyan” and “Xinyu”, billed
as the world's first bionic humanoid robot news anchors. Both are 1:1 life‑size
replicas built for news scenarios, integrating Xinhua's AI political-news
intelligence Xinhua Yudian and UBTECH's full‑stack technologies — bionic skin,
embodied‑intelligence hardware, operating system, emotional large model and
mass‑production manufacturing — and can appear on camera to deliver live
reports.
