China’s stock of active invention patents tops 5.8 mln, with 17.2 high‑value
invention patents per 10,000 people. Key core patents have been secured in
quantum technology, biomanufacturing, brain‑computer interfaces and 6G. During a
three‑year patent commercialization campaign, transfer and licensing filings
reached 1.458 mln — about 48% above pre‑campaign levels — while university and
research‑institute patent industrialization rates rose to 10.1% and 17.2%, up
6.2 and 3.9 percentage points respectively, bringing many previously dormant
patents to market.
