Beijing said its zero-tariff policy for imports from 53 African diplomatic
partners, effective May 1, has eased market access for African agricultural and
light-manufactured goods—notably avocado, coffee beans, pecans and shea butter.
China-Africa trade in Jan–Sep topped $310 billion, up 22% YoY. The ministry said
the tariff cuts have lowered trade costs and benefited African SMEs and farmers
and that high-quality China-Africa cooperation will continue to support mutual
modernization.
