YONHAP — South Korea's deputy prime minister and minister of science and ICT
said on the 6th Seoul should not delay investment in AI data centers amid rising
global concern over an AI investment pullback after US midterm-driven regulatory
fears and related stock falls. He said “South Korea must not be swept up by the
current atmosphere and stop or delay investment,” warned that US hesitation
could be seen as an opportunity by countries such as France and Canada, and said
he expects global AI investment competition to remain intense; “from a personal
view, the long-term trend is upward,” he added.
