The Financial Times reports British officials are preparing to host Ukrainian President Zelenskiy on a state visit in 2027 as a signal of sustained UK support. Timing is undecided but officials say the visit is unlikely to be scheduled during the Manchester G20 summit, set for November 2027; Zelenskiy is expected to be invited to that summit. The report notes Ukraine faces a difficult winter with gaps in air-defence capability and damage to energy and water infrastructure. A UK official said a state visit should not be tied to a summit timetable because that would weaken its impact.
