Iran’s Mehr Media Group CEO Mohammad Mehdi Rahmati in Tehran said AI is being widely deployed, is changing values and could be abused with serious consequences, and urged a revisit of shared human values. He said Mehr already uses multiple AI tools for tracking news-topic histories, fact-checking, image enhancement and text editing, and plans a joint project to integrate these tools into a unified open-source software platform for use across Global South countries.
