Huaxi Securities says rising AI technology requirements are triggering a volume
cycle for high‑end electronic copper foil; ongoing product qualification and
capacity rollouts mean domestic producers could begin to see simultaneous volume
and margin gains this year. Copper foil’s heavy capex and high cash intensity
constrain rapid capacity expansion. With the Chinese lithium‑ion battery supply
chain approaching the H2 seasonal peak, demand upside plus tight supply should
further squeeze electronic copper foil capacity and sustain upward pressure on
lithium‑battery copper foil prices. High electronic‑foil margins, rising
processing fees and a larger share of ultra‑thin lithium battery foil should
reinforce copper‑foil makers’ profitability.
