Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary told the Iranian Students News Agency the Trump administration has hired “thugs” to smuggle oil in Omani coastal waters and alleged involvement by the UAE military and the CENTCOM commander. He said the operations use small vessels to transfer oil to larger tankers and that Iran “strikes them each night.” He added that while Trump says the Strait of Hormuz is open, “you are smuggling, but the strait is under Iran’s control and we manage it.”

The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said Iran is fully prepared and that, should war resume, it will demonstrate new capabilities. He said US assets in the UAE and around the Strait of Hormuz are highly valuable but have not been placed on Iran's target list to date. He warned that renewed conflict would see many regional undersea cables, data centres, AI facilities and other sites destroyed, assets he valued at more than $2 trillion.
