POWELL: WE ARE IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION

PetroChina Co., China’s largest natural gas supplier, will largely keep its contract prices unchanged this year to protect industrial consumers from soaring global energy costs linked to the Middle East conflict. The company will maintain last year’s maximum price, a strategy also aimed at supporting the long-term development of the domestic gas sector, according to consultancy OilChem. PetroChina did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
