UOB’s Heng Koon How said Brent crude could rise above $130 a barrel, revisiting
levels seen at the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022. Worsening
U.S.-Israel-Iran tensions, repeated attacks on energy facilities, and a
near-closed Strait of Hormuz have prompted the bank to raise quarterly Brent
forecasts from 2Q 2026 through 1Q 2027, with 2Q now seen at $110 a barrel versus
a prior $90 estimate.
