Apple is preparing to overhaul its Siri voice assistant, testing a standalone
app with a new “Ask Siri” feature for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The updated Siri,
set to debut in iOS 27, will transform from a voice assistant into a
conversational AI agent. It will offer deeper integration across apps, better
control of personal data, and the ability to interact through text and voice. A
new design and systemwide “Ask Siri” button will enhance the user experience.
The update, aimed at competing with AI-driven search tools, is slated for a fall
release.
