Intel Corp. has secured a multiyear deal with Alphabet Inc.'s Google, with the
tech giant committing to using future generations of Intel’s Xeon processors and
customizing its Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) for networking, security,
and storage. The deal, announced Thursday, aligns with Intel's push to tap into
the growing AI infrastructure market. Despite losing market share to rivals like
AMD, Intel aims to regain ground in the data center sector, which remains key to
its comeback strategy under CEO Lip-Bu Tan.
