The White House said it will not specify how long the U.S. blockade of Iranian
ports will remain in effect as enforcement continues amid ongoing negotiations.
Karoline Leavitt said the blockade has been “fully implemented” and is being
enforced against vessels entering or leaving Iranian ports, including those in
the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. She said the policy aims to support freedom
of navigation while preventing shipments that would benefit Iran’s economy as
diplomatic talks continue over a potential broader agreement.
