TAIWAN'S BENCHMARK STOCK INDEX RISES AS MUCH AS 1.4% TO A RECORD HIGH OF 37,303.56 POINTS

Samsung Electronics has reportedly stopped accepting new orders for LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X mobile DRAM, according to Korean outlet The Elec. The company has taken its final orders and will only fulfill previously booked volumes before discontinuing the products (end-of-life). The move affects older low-power mobile DRAM lines widely used in smartphones, as Samsung shifts production focus toward newer memory standards. The Elec reports that Samsung Semiconductor pages for LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X now indicate the products are in a phase-out stage.
