China’s Commerce Ministry said it will closely monitor revisions to the EU’s
cybersecurity law draft and is willing to engage in dialogue with the European
side.
The ministry warned that if the legislation proceeds and discriminates against
Chinese firms, China will take corresponding countermeasures, adding that the EU
should not underestimate Beijing’s resolve to safeguard national interests and
the legitimate rights of its companies, or to prevent setbacks in China-EU
economic ties.
