President Trump said the US would pause an attack on Iran after what he
described as internal fractures in the Iranian government and a request from
Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He said
he directed US forces to maintain a blockade and remain on alert while extending
the ceasefire. Trump added the pause would continue until Iran submits a unified
proposal and talks are concluded.
