GERMAN ECONOMY CHIEF TO MAKE FIRST TRIP TO CHINA TO TALK TRADE

Amazon Web Services has reportedly signed a 170 billion won power infrastructure supply contract with LS ELECTRIC, following meetings with domestic power firms since late last year, according to industry sources. The move comes as U.S. data center investment has grown to around 400 trillion won, intensifying competition among major tech firms to secure reliable power supply. Separately, NVIDIA is said to be pushing for more radical data center designs, including a shift toward 800V direct current systems to reduce power conversion losses driven by AI workloads, and has reportedly held discussions with South Korean manufacturers on potential collaboration.
