Alibaba’s Qwen AI app now allows users to book flights with China Eastern
Airlines through natural-language commands, marking its first partnership using
agentic AI technology. The app handles tasks like ticketing, seat selection, and
check-in, and also offers to calculate commute time and book a car. Qwen is part
of Alibaba's strategy to integrate AI products into a platform for services,
transactions, and proactive user support. This follows Starbucks’ introduction
of a mini app in ChatGPT.
