Iran’s top officials, including Masoud Pezeshkian and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf,
issued near-identical statements minutes apart on Thursday affirming unity and
loyalty to the supreme leader. The synchronized messaging appeared to counter
claims by Donald Trump that Iran’s leadership is internally divided. Trump said
Iran faces a struggle between “hardliners,” sustaining battlefield losses, and
“moderates,” gaining recognition, adding the country is “having a very hard time
figuring out who their leader is.”
