A senior White House official said President Donald Trump and the White House
are standing by Secret Service leadership after a recent shooting incident. The
official said Trump praised agents for “neutralizing the shooter” and securing
the president, first lady, vice president, and cabinet. White House Chief of
Staff Susie Wiles will convene a meeting with US Secret Service and DHS
officials this week to review security protocols for major upcoming events and
assess further protective measures ahead of America 250 celebrations.
