SoftBank Group plans to establish and list a standalone AI robotics and data
center company, Roze, in the US as soon as this year at a targeted $100 billion
valuation, the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Founder Masayoshi Son is leading the effort as the firm ramps up investment in
AI, including major commitments to OpenAI. The move comes as SoftBank increases
borrowing to fund its strategy amid questions over the sustainability of global
data center spending.
