Crude oil fell as low as $97 a barrel before rebounding toward $98.60 after
President Donald Trump said the US is in the “final stages” of talks with Iran,
easing supply concerns. US equities advanced, with the S&P 500 rising 0.94% and
the Nasdaq gaining 1.31%. The dollar weakened, pushing USD/JPY below its
100-hour moving average near 158.78 and toward recent lows around 158.60.
