Ukraine's President ZELENSKIY wrote in a letter to US President TRUMP and the US
Congress that Ukraine is currently facing a critical shortage of US-made
air-defense supplies, which are necessary to intercept Russian ballistic
missiles. He says European allies are funding Ukraine's receipt of weapons from
the United States via the "PURL" procurement program. The program covers
missiles for Ukraine's Patriot air-defense system, which ZELENSKIY says is
currently the only means Ukraine has to effectively shoot down Russia's
high-speed missiles. ZELENSKIY wrote: "The pace of deliveries under the PURL
program currently cannot keep up with the reality of the threat we face."
