TRUMP said at a WHITE HOUSE cabinet meeting on the 27th that the Strait of
Hormuz is international waters, open to all and not under any country's control,
and warned Gulf ally Oman that if it 'doesn't follow the rules' it will be
'blown up'. When asked whether he would accept a short-term agreement under
joint Iran-Oman control of the strait, TRUMP reiterated the waterway is
international and should remain open to everyone. He said the United States will
maintain order in the strait but 'no one will control it, this is also part of
our (negotiations with Iran)'. He added Oman will follow the rules like other
countries and said 'if they don't follow the rules, we'll have to blow them up.
They know that, so they'll behave.'
