The Israel Defense Forces said on May 28 that an operation on May 26 in Khan
Younis, southern Gaza, killed Ihab Kherizim, identified as head of Hamas’s core
funds-transfer network responsible for moving millions of dollars to the group’s
military wing. The IDF said Kherizim had repeatedly violated the ceasefire in
recent months. The statement added the strike also killed Muhammad Habash, a
commander involved in weapons manufacturing.
