On May 28 local time, Iranian armed forces fired warning shots at four
non-compliant vessels near the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian sources say forces
later that evening launched missiles from southern Iran at “specific targets”;
the targets and operational details have not been released. Other sources report
possible exchanges of fire in the Persian Gulf, but those reports remain
unconfirmed.
